Personal Contact Details

Each student is responsible to ensure that

Citas College is informed of any changes to their personal contact details. This includes email

address, postal address and mobile phone

number.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the course

fees. We encourage students to source their

own accommodation. However, Citas College

will assist students in this process.

Course Textbooks

It is mandatory for all students to have their

own course textbooks. English language courses in Citas College are modular. Each module

student in their lessons. If you would like your

own copy of the book this can be purchased

We can arrange for you to be met at Dublin

In return, students are granted a maximum 8-month study visa with permission to work part-time (20 hours per week) at all times and full-time (40 hours per week) during June, July, August and September and from 15th December to 15th January. (For more information see the Department of Justice website www.inis.gov.ie). CITAS College offers an efficient visa support service at no extra cost.

Cancellations & Refund Policy

Requests for cancellations must be made in writing to Ivana Cepo, Student service Officer, Citas College Dublin, email: ivana@citas.ie. Where applicable, refunds will be made to the person or organisation who initially made the payment, within one month of approval of cancellation.

Conditions of Refund:

1) Course refunds will only be granted where a course is cancelled prior to the course commencement date.

2) In the event of a course cancellation, an administration fee of 250 will be charged. This also includes cancellations due to visa refusal - in which case an official letter of refusal is required.

3) In the case of illness, students may ask for their course to be postponed to a later date. In this case, the college will require a medical certificate.

4) Full refunds (less the above administration fee) can only be granted for bookings cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to course commencement. For cancellations occurring 1 to 7 days before course commencement, 50% of the full amount can be refunded.

No refund will be made:

5) A course cannot be refunded, carried over to

the next calendar year or transferred to another student when the visa is already conceded.

6) For any cancellation once the course has commenced or if the student has used false information or engaged in fraudulent activity during the visa application.

Sickness Policy

1) Students who are unable to attend class due to illness or for any other reason must contact

the college. In the case of illness, students are

required to fill in and submit a sickness form at this link:

http://www.citas.ie/leave-of-absence-form/.

They must do this before 12pm every day they are sick.

2) If students are absent for more than two

days, they are required to submit a doctor’s

medical certificate on the first day of return to

the college.

3) Sick leave will be granted at the discretion of the college. Any abuse of this mechanism will

not be tolerated. Where a pattern emerges in

the taking of non-documented sick days, the

student will be required to provide a doctor’s

note (even for one day of sickness).

4) In the event of a documented case of an

illness or medical problem, the student is required to send an email/written letter to the  ivana@citas.ie, informing him as to the nature of the problem.

5) In the event of an extended illness or med

-ical problem, the college must be provided with

updated certification that explains the need for

extended absence from class.

6) All medical documents must be submitted in a timely fashion. Failure to do so will result in

the absence being treated as non-attendance.

7) In the case of bereavement of a close family

member, holidays can be granted at the

discretion of the college

Holiday Policy

1) Holidays should be requested before or

during enrolment. Holiday periods cannot at

any point exceed 1/3 of the total weeks elapsed (front-loading of holidays is not permitted). For example, in order to take one week of holidays, a learner must have completed three weeks of

classes.

2) All holidays must start on a Monday and

finish on a Friday.

3) A maximum of three separate holidays can

be taken over the 6-month course.

4) Citas College does not authorise holidays to

enable student to take up extra employment.

It is a GNIB requirement that students on

International Student visas must maintain an

attendance rate of above 85%.

Course Withdrawals

If a student wishes to withdraw from their

course after arrival at the college (without

refund) they must inform the Student Service Officer in writing, giving an explanation of their

circumstance.
